Privacy & Cookie Policy

This page explains what HaulPerk collects when you visit, why, and how to stop it. In short: you can read this whole site without giving us anything, and we never sell your data.

What we collect

Your email — only if you give it. If you sign up for our deals email, we store that address so we can send you offers. Nothing else is required, and you can ask us to delete it at any time.

Basic usage figures. Like most sites, we count page views and which deal links get clicked. This tells us which guides are worth writing more of. These are counts, not profiles — we are not trying to work out who you are.

Technical details of your visit. When you open a page we record your IP address, the country it maps to, your device type and browser, the site you arrived from, and any campaign tag in the link you followed. We use this to keep our figures honest, to see which pages work on phones, and to block automated traffic that would otherwise distort them. We keep these records for 90 days and then delete them automatically. We do not use them to build a profile of you, and we do not combine them with your email.

We do not ask for your name, address, phone number or payment details, because we never need them. We have no user accounts and we take no payments.

Cookies

Cookies are small files a site stores in your browser. We deal with two kinds:

• Ours (measurement). Used to count visits and clicks as described above.
• Affiliate partners'. When you click through to a shop, the shop's affiliate network usually sets a cookie so it can tell that the sale came from us and pay the commission. That cookie is set by them, on their terms — we have no control over it and cannot read it.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings at any time. The site still works — we just lose the ability to count that visit, and a shop may not credit us for a sale.

Who else sees your data

We do not sell, rent or trade your information. The only third parties involved are the ones needed to run the site: our measurement provider, our email delivery service, and the affiliate networks that operate the outbound links. Each handles data under their own policy.

We will hand over data if the law requires it — nothing else unlocks it.

Your choices

• Stop the emails. Use the unsubscribe link in any email we send, or write to us.
• See or delete what we hold. Email us and we will tell you what we have on your address, or remove it.
• Ask us to delete your visit records. Tell us your IP address and we will remove the entries tied to it. They expire on their own after 90 days in any case.
• Turn off cookies. Through your browser settings, at any time.

Depending on where you live — for example in the EU, UK or California — you may have additional legal rights over your data. Write to us and we will honour them.

Children

This site is meant for adults. We do not knowingly collect anything from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has given us their email, tell us and we will delete it.
