Sundays for Dogs Air-Dried Dog Food Review

Sundays for Dogs makes vet-formulated, air-dried dog food using human-grade ingredients and no artificial preservatives. The brand offers several codes and deals that can reduce your first order or regular purchases.

Quick Take on Sundays for Dogs

Sundays for Dogs delivers gently air-dried dog food made with real, recognizable ingredients—no synthetic nutrient blends or artificial preservatives. The food is slow-cooked at low temperatures to preserve nutrients while eliminating pathogens, resulting in a texture closer to jerky than traditional kibble. Founded and operated by veterinarian Dr. Tory Waxman and her husband Michael Waxman, the brand emphasizes simplicity: just scoop and serve, no refrigeration needed. Customer reviews on the brand's site highlight that dogs chose Sundays chicken recipe over premium kibble in an independent third-party taste test. The company markets itself as a replacement for ultra-processed kibble, focusing on whole meat and superfoods rather than artificial fillers. With over 2,000 five-star reviews cited on their homepage, Sundays positions itself as a premium alternative for dog owners seeking transparent, high-quality nutrition.

What Sundays for Dogs Actually Sells

Sundays for Dogs offers air-dried dog food in multiple recipes, with chicken being prominently featured. The product line focuses on complete, balanced meals made from human-grade ingredients—real meat, vegetables, and superfoods without synthetic nutrient blends or artificial flavors. The air-drying process is central to their approach: gentle, low-temperature cooking that kills pathogens while maintaining nutritional value, contrasting sharply with high-heat kibble manufacturing or freezing methods. Each serving is portioned for convenient scooping with no preparation required beyond adding water if desired. The brand emphasizes that their recipes are vet-formulated, meaning they meet nutritional standards set by their veterinary team. Their website mentions a 'Find Your Recipe' feature, suggesting multiple formulations are available, though specific protein types or specialized diets are not detailed in the provided information. The positioning centers on replacing conventional dog food rather than serving as a supplement or treat.

Who Typically Buys from Sundays for Dogs

Sundays for Dogs appeals to dog owners who prioritize ingredient transparency and want to move away from conventional kibble. The brand's emphasis on human-grade ingredients, veterinary formulation, and zero artificial additives attracts health-conscious pet parents willing to invest in premium nutrition. Owners of dogs with sensitivities to artificial preservatives or synthetic ingredients may gravitate toward this option. The 'Risk-Free Trial' mentioned on their homepage suggests first-time buyers are a key audience, with the company confident enough in product quality to offer trial programs. The independent taste test result—where dogs chose Sundays over premium kibble—targets skeptical owners who want proof their pets will actually eat the food. The brand's vet-founded origin appeals to owners who trust veterinary authority over marketing claims. The convenience factor (no refrigeration, just scoop and serve) resonates with busy owners who don't want complicated meal prep but still want quality. Overall, the typical buyer values transparency, ingredient quality, and their dog's satisfaction over price alone.

How Sundays for Dogs Pricing Typically Works

Sundays for Dogs uses a tiered discount structure with several recurring promotions. First-time customers receive significant discounts, ranging from 40% to 60% off their initial order, often bundled with free shipping—the brand explicitly states 'Save 30% if you start today' on their homepage, though deeper first-purchase discounts are available through promotional codes. Repeat customers can access ongoing discounts ranging from 30% to 50% off sitewide or on specific orders. The brand advertises discounts up to 50% on pet food purchases, with some codes offering even deeper reductions like 60% off for new customers. Shipping is frequently waived on first orders, reducing total cost further. These promotions appear designed to lower the entry barrier for new customers while maintaining engagement with existing ones through loyalty discounts. The exact price point of individual recipes is not specified in the provided information, so comparing cost-per-serving to competitors cannot be assessed here. The frequency of promotions suggests that paying full retail is uncommon; waiting for a code is likely to yield savings.

Should You Wait for a Sundays for Dogs Code

Yes, waiting for a code is worth considering, especially if you're a new customer. First-time buyers consistently see 40% to 60% off plus free shipping across available promotions, making it rational to delay a purchase if you haven't ordered yet. For existing customers, sitewide discounts of 30% to 50% appear regularly, suggesting that repeat purchases outside of a promotional period mean leaving money on the table. The brand's 'Risk-Free Trial' and 'Find Your Recipe' language indicates no rush—they encourage customers to explore options before committing. A handful of offers are typically active at any given time, so checking for current codes before checkout takes seconds and can save meaningfully on air-dried dog food, which occupies a premium price segment. The only scenario where immediate purchase makes sense is if your dog is completely out of food and no promotions are available; otherwise, a few days spent hunting a code could yield 30% or more in savings on your order.
